Product Overview
This auger flight brush is a reinforced spiral strip brush designed for installation on auger flights and screw conveyors. PA612 nylon bristles are secured inside a stainless steel backing that is formed into a continuous loose coil.
Pressed locking holes along the backing increase the mechanical grip on the bristle bundle. Compared with a conventional smooth-backed spiral brush, this construction is intended for applications involving continuous rotation and repeated contact with the auger surface. The coil diameter, length, pitch and winding direction can be produced according to the equipment. For other custom coil orientations and filament options, see our inverted and external spiral brush.
Product Features
- Reinforced Stainless Steel Backing: The auger flight brush uses pressed locking holes along the metal strip to help retain the bristle bundle during continuous operation.
- PA612 Nylon Bristles: The standard configuration uses 0.6 mm PA612 filament for repeated contact with auger flights.
- Left-Hand or Right-Hand Winding: The coil can be produced in either winding direction to match the auger geometry and direction of rotation.
- Loose-Coil Construction: The spiral can be extended or compressed during installation to adjust its working length and coil spacing.
- Custom Coil Dimensions: Inside diameter, outside diameter, pitch and overall length can be manufactured according to a drawing, sample or auger dimensions.

Auger Flight Brush Installation and Applications
The loose coil is installed along the auger flight or corresponding screw-conveyor structure. Winding direction, coil diameter and working length must match the auger geometry. Before production, provide the flight diameter, shaft diameter, pitch, rotation direction and required brush length.
Typical applications include:
- Wastewater-treatment screw conveyors
- Auger and screw-flight cleaning
- Agricultural conveying equipment
- Conveyor cleaning systems
- Food-processing equipment where the selected materials meet the project requirements

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an auger flight brush used for?
It is mounted on an auger flight or screw conveyor to provide brushing contact during rotation. Its function depends on the equipment and may include cleaning the flight, reducing material buildup or contacting the conveyor surface.
What makes this spiral brush reinforced?
The stainless steel backing contains pressed locking holes that increase its mechanical grip on the bristle bundle.
What is the standard bristle specification?
The standard configuration uses 0.6 mm PA612 nylon bristles. Other requirements should be confirmed according to the conveyed material and operating conditions..
How do I choose the winding direction?
The brush can be produced with left-hand or right-hand winding. Selection depends on the auger-flight direction, equipment layout and direction of rotation.
Can the loose coil be stretched or compressed?
Yes. The loose spiral construction allows the working length and spacing between turns to be adjusted within the limits of the manufactured coil.
What information is required for customization?
Please provide the auger or shaft diameter, flight pitch, winding direction, required brush length, operating speed and application details. A drawing or existing sample is also useful.
