Product Overview

The concealed fix door brush seal combines an extruded PVC carrier, a clip-on cover and a metal channel strip brush. It is installed along the bottom edge of a door to cover the gap while allowing the bristles to flex across the floor or threshold.

Unlike a conventional profile with exposed screw heads, this design hides the fixing points after installation. The carrier can first be positioned with its adhesive backing and then secured mechanically with screws. Once the cover is clipped into place, the fixings are concealed behind a smooth PVC surface.

The flexible brush helps reduce the direct passage of draughts, dust, light debris and insects beneath the door. Different brush projections can be produced for gaps from approximately 10 to 100 mm, with around 25 mm being a commonly requested configuration.

How the Concealed Fix Cover Works

The clip-on PVC cover separates the structural fixing process from the visible finished surface. Installation follows four basic steps:

  1. Measure and Position – Place the brush against the closed door and set the bristle height so that the tips contact the floor or threshold without excessive bending.
  2. Use the Adhesive for Alignment – Remove the backing film and press the profile into position. The adhesive helps prevent movement while the fixing points are prepared.
  3. Secure the Carrier with Screws – Insert screws through the mounting channel and into the door. The screws provide the primary mechanical attachment.
  4. Clip the Cover into Place – After checking the door movement, press the PVC cover over the mounting channel until the screw heads are concealed.

This installation method provides the strength of screw fixing without leaving the fasteners visible. The cover can also coordinate with the door finish through the available light and dark PVC color options.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this a concealed fix door brush seal?

The fixing screws are installed inside the PVC mounting channel and then covered by a clip-on strip. This leaves the screw heads hidden after installation.

Can the brush be installed using adhesive alone?

The adhesive is intended to assist with positioning. For a more secure and durable installation, the PVC carrier should also be mechanically fixed with suitable screws.

How do I select the correct brush projection?

Measure the vertical gap between the bottom of the closed door and the floor or threshold. The bristles should maintain contact without being compressed so heavily that they restrict door movement.

Are different PVC profile colors available?

Yes. Light and dark PVC options are available to coordinate with different door finishes. Color availability should be confirmed when ordering.

Which doors can use this brush seal?

It can be used on suitable residential, hotel, office and commercial doors with a flat mounting surface along the lower edge. The door material and construction must be suitable for the selected screws and adhesive.
