This interchangeable C track lath brush is a staple-set strip brush designed for installation inside a separate steel C-shaped mounting channel. Individual bristle tufts are mechanically secured in a moulded PVC base with a shaped foot that engages with the track. This replaceable C-track design is part of our broader custom lath brush range.
Unlike a brush permanently fixed to its holder, the PVC brush strip can be inserted or removed by sliding it along the length of the steel channel. When the bristles become worn or when a different brush specification is required, the brush insert can be replaced while the installed metal track remains in position.
The brush can be produced with one, two or three rows of bristle tufts. Multi-row versions use a staggered hole arrangement to distribute the tufts across the brush surface. Bristle material, overall length, filling height and tuft spacing can be selected according to the conveyed product and required brushing action.
Available fill materials include synthetic filaments, animal hair and Tampico fibre. Overall length can be produced up to 6 metres, while filling height ranges from 5 mm to 300 mm according to the selected construction.

Tuft Patterns and Example Dimensions
The C-track lath brush can be manufactured with one, two or three bristle rows. For multi-row brushes, the tuft holes are offset between adjacent rows rather than aligned in straight crosswise lines. The appropriate row quantity and spacing depend on the required contact coverage and brush density.
Two standard tuft-spacing patterns are shown:
- Thin Pattern: Approximately 15 mm longitudinal hole spacing; the example drawing shows 14.90 mm.
- Thick Pattern: Approximately 12 mm longitudinal hole spacing; the example drawing shows 12.10 mm.
- The drawing below illustrates a three-row brush with a 2000 mm example length and a 20 mm-wide PVC base. These dimensions represent the configuration shown in the drawing rather than the only available product size. Overall length, base dimensions and filling height can be produced to different requirements.

C Track Lath Brush Replacement and Installation
The steel C-shaped channel is installed as the fixed mounting component on the machine frame, worktable or conveyor structure. The PVC lath brush base is inserted from an open end of the channel and slid along the track until it reaches the required position.
For replacement, provide access to one end of the C-track, slide the worn brush insert out and install the new insert through the same opening. The existing steel channel can remain attached to the equipment, reducing the amount of mounting work required during brush replacement.
Before ordering a replacement C track lath brush, confirm the C-track cross-section, internal retaining dimensions, required brush length and available end clearance. An existing brush sample or track drawing can be used to verify that the PVC base fits the installed channel.
Conveyor Guidance and Support Applications
C-track lath brushes can be installed along conveyor edges or across worktable surfaces to guide and support products during movement. The bristles provide distributed contact beneath or beside the workpiece, while the rigid track keeps the brush aligned with the conveyor structure.
