Product Overview

The flexible rack cable entry brush combines a clip-on rubber profile with densely tufted nylon filaments. It mounts directly over the edge of a rack cabinet opening, allowing cables to pass through the bristles while covering the unused space around them.

Type A, Type B and Type C profiles are available for different panel-edge dimensions. The brush can be produced with single-row or double-row bristles, cut to the required cabinet width, and supplied with flame-retardant rubber and filament materials when specified. Its flexible base is especially useful where the mounting line is not completely straight.

Rack Cabinet Cable Entry Installation

The rubber profile clips over the prepared metal edge of the cabinet cable opening. Cables pass between the nylon filaments, which close around the cable bundle and cover the remaining open area without requiring a separate brush holder.

Choose Type A, B or C according to the panel thickness and profile groove. The overall brush length should match the opening width. A single row suits standard cable routing, while a double-row arrangement provides more overlapping bristle coverage around irregular cable bundles.

Applications

This flexible cable entry brush is designed for cabinet openings where cables must remain accessible while unused gaps are covered. Typical installations include:

  • Server rack cable entry openings
  • Network and telecommunications cabinets
  • Data center equipment enclosures
  • Control cabinets with routed power or signal cables
  • Retrofit openings with uneven or slightly curved mounting edges

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from a rigid cable pass-through brush?

This product uses a flexible rubber profile that can follow slightly curved or uneven cabinet edges. A rigid cable pass-through brush retains a fixed straight shape and is better suited to flat, consistently dimensioned mounting openings.

How do I choose between Type A, Type B and Type C?

Choose the profile according to the thickness and shape of the cabinet panel edge. Type A, B and C have different profile sizes and groove openings. Please provide the panel thickness, installation drawing or a sample for confirmation.

Is 380 mm the only available length?

No. The 380 mm brush shown is a standard-size example. The overall length and filament height can be customized to match the cable opening.

Should I choose a single-row or double-row brush?

A single row is suitable for general cable routing. A double-row construction provides more overlapping bristle coverage where cable bundles vary in position or closer gap coverage is required.

Are flame-retardant materials available?

Yes. Flame-retardant rubber profiles and brush filaments can be specified for server room and data center projects. Please include the required material or test standard with your inquiry.
