Product Overview
The truck spray suppressant brush combines a flexible thermoplastic rubber backing with densely tufted nylon or polypropylene filaments. Mounted along a truck or trailer mudguard, the hanging bristle skirt breaks up the spray pattern created by rotating tyres and helps direct water, dust and road debris toward the road surface.
The backing can follow straight, curved or oval wheel arches without being preformed to one fixed radius. Clip-on, square, H-profile and F-profile versions are available for different mounting systems. The brush can be supplied in 20 or 25 metre rolls for cutting and fitting around the required mudguard shape.

Product Features
- Flexible Wheel-Arch Fit: The rubber backing bends around straight, curved and oval mudguards without requiring a fixed preformed radius.
- Crimped Filament Coverage: Corrugated nylon or polypropylene filaments spread across the skirt area and reduce open gaps between bristles.
- Trim Heights up to 300 mm: The filament projection can be selected according to wheel size, mudguard clearance and required spray coverage.
- Temperature-Specific Materials: Suitable backing and filament combinations can be selected for operating conditions from −40°C to 125°C.
- Continuous Roll Supply: Brushes can be packed in 20 or 25 metre rolls for compact transport, storage and on-site cutting.

Truck Mudguard Installation
The brush is mounted along the outer edge of a truck or trailer mudguard so that the filaments hang beside the tyre. As the wheel rotates, the bristle skirt interrupts water spray and airborne road debris before they travel outward from the wheel area.
The flexible backing can follow single-wheel, tandem-wheel and curved mudguard outlines. Profile type and trim height should be selected according to the mounting track, wheel-arch radius and available tyre clearance. The bristles must not contact the rotating tyre during operation. For wheel-area applications requiring lateral rather than downward-facing bristle contact, see our 90° Side-Tufted Flexible Rubber Strip Brush.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does a spray suppressant brush reduce tyre spray?
The hanging filaments break up water and mist thrown outward by the rotating tyre. When positioned around the mudguard, the brush also helps direct water and loose road debris toward the road surface.
Should I choose nylon or polypropylene filaments?
The choice depends on the required stiffness, operating temperature, weather exposure and contact with road chemicals. Please provide the working conditions so the backing and filament materials can be selected together.
How do I select the trim height?
Trim height depends on the mudguard position, wheel size and available tyre clearance. Heights up to 300 mm can be produced, but the filaments must remain clear of the rotating tyre.
Which backing profile should I use?
Clip-on, square, H and F profiles suit different tracks and mounting directions. A cross-section drawing or sample of the existing brush and holder is the most reliable way to confirm the profile.
Can the brush be supplied in rolls or cut lengths?
Yes. Flexible spray suppressant brushes can be supplied in 20 or 25 metre rolls or cut to the required mudguard length.
